Electra’s range of etch and plate resists are specially formulated to meet the high-yield demands of fine-line consumer electronics production. Available in thermal and UV cure systems, resists are compatible with both acid or alkali solutions and can be easily stripped in mild caustic.
Suitable for acid etchants and alkali etchants in the pH range 8.0 to 9.5. It can also be used as a plating resist and is capable of withstanding up to 40 amperes and high pH solutions above a pH of 8.0.
ETAV24 is a UV curable resist formulated to give excellent resistance to alkali and acid solutions used in the etching and plating of printed circuit boards. Resists are removable in weak caustic solutions and versions are available for both dissolve and flake strip depending on the type of process module used.

Ronascreen 1400 etch resists are formulated to resist attack by acidic and ammoniacal etchants up to pH 9.5. Ronascreen 1400 is rapidly stripped by dilute sodium hydroxide and the resulting solution does not block filters or interfere with the operation of re-cycling systems. The dense pigmentation facilitates subsequent inspection of printed boards and the fast curing characteristics result in a stable film which enables printed boards to be stacked without "blocking".
