This cleaner has been formulated to clean all metals - normally by wiping. It removes a wide range of greases and oils without attacking sensitive surfaces. Its use conforms to BS 7773 (1995) 3.1.2.A.2 and DEF STAN 03-02/3 Method A.2.
T Cleaner 1
This solvent blend has been formulated to give the nearest evaporation rate and relatively low level of inhalation hazard to that formerly achievable with chlorinated solvents. As a manually applied cleaner, it should give a sufficient ‘tail’ that the fabric remains damp for a meaningful time, whilst the cleaned surface is ready for coating in only a few minutes. Its use conforms to BS 7773 (1995) 3.1.2.A.2 and DEF STAN 03- 02/3 Method A.2.
T Cleaner 2
This alcohol and water based cleaner has been formulated to allow manual degreasing by simple wipe-on application at ambient temperatures. Its use conforms to BS7773 (1995) 3.2.3.B2 and DEF STAN 03/4 Process B.1
T Cleaner 3
This liquid cleaner is formulated to remove a wide range of natural and synthetic oils and grease from metal surfaces prior to painting or pretreatment processes. Normally applied by hand, the ingredients have been selected to give a high level of solvency whilst minimising operator and environmental hazards. Its use conforms to BS 7773 (1995) 3.1.2.A.2 and DEF STAN 03-02/3 Method A.2.
T Cleaner 5
This solvent has been formulated to dissolve adhesives, dried on paint and application equipment. It will also dissolve expanded polystyrene after it has been used as a mould in, for example, concrete construction.
T Cleaner 6
A powdered alkaline chemical which when dissolved in water produces a solution that degreases aluminium and its alloys. Used by dip, it does not etch nor dull polished aluminium surfaces nor noticeably smut high-silicon alloys. On extruded aluminium it dissolves out magnesium oxide and prevents subsequent preferential caustic etching. An excellent degreaser, it also removes polishing compounds from stainless steels and is a suitable mild cleaner for mild steel and zinc to prevent coarse phosphating. Complies with DEF STAN 03-2/3 Method B.2(ii).
T Cleaner 70
An efficient alkali cleaner with multi-metal capabilities, containing a robust blend of detergents. This is an ideal product for cleaning used parts in engines and gearboxes, prior to reconditioning. Formulated for use in spray lines, chamber washing machines and in agitated immersion applications.
T Cleaner 74
This water based cleaner has been formulated for manual degreasing of all metals by a simple wipe-on application at ambient temperatures as an easy, effective replacement for solvent-based products. It has mild rust-retarding properties, so steels and other metals sensitive to moisture will not readily corrode. It conforms to BS7773 (1995) 3.2.3.B2 and DEF STAN 03/4 Process B.1.
T Cleaner 8
A strongly acidic liquid chemical which, when diluted with water, will remove oil and grease from aluminium and its alloys, dissolve any oxide and etch the metal surface at relatively low temperatures. Used by dip, it normally precedes Alocrom treatment or painting where only etching is required. Its use conforms to BS 7773 (1995) Section 3.13 Method N.4 and DEF STAN 03-2/3 Method N.4.
