Accelerator 96 is used to adjust activity in different deoxidant products by increasing the fluoride content. The product makes possible the phosphating of aluminium surfaces in combination with Ferrophos products (iron phosphatings). The product is especially designed for use in plants with evaporation technology.
On galvanised surfaces, Accelerator 96 improves the cleaning effect of the
iron phosphating agent. However, no protective phosphate layer is formed.
Accelerator 96 will be also used for pH adjustment in cold sealing
procedures.
Accelerator 96 contains acid fluorides accelerating the etching or activating
process on metal surfaces and providing protection from interfering reaction
products as well as to activate aluminium surfaces for phosphating.
Accelerator 96 makes possible a reduction of treatment times even if
applied in low quantities. The product produces phosphate layers on
aluminium in combination with iron phosphating, with good passivating
properties and offers an excellent adhesion base for all organic coatings,
provided that the product is applied correctly.
