T Deoxidiser 7/17
T Deoxidiser 7 Make Up is a powdered chemical which when dissolved in dilute nitric or Sulphuric acid produces a solution which removes oxides and smut from aluminium and aluminium alloy surfaces.
Normally used by dip, it gives a lightly etched and clean surface which can be Alocrom treated, spot-welded, bonded with adhesives or is ready for anodising or painting processes. Replenished with powdered T Deoxidiser 7/17, the bath prevents the deposition of copper on the aluminium and this results in Alocrom coatings with maximum corrosion resistance. This product is widely specified by the major aircraft manufacturers including Boeing BAC 5765 and Airbus 8-1296.
