This talk clearly shows how advanced nanofabrication enables scalable quantum computing with superconducting circuits. Building on concepts recognized by the 2025 Nobel Prize in Physics, it explains how Josephson junctions realize macroscopic quantum degrees of freedom that obey quantized dynamics. Precise nano‑ and micro‑lithography - materials control, junction definition, and process integration - turn these effects into reproducible qubits with long coherence and fast gates. The lecture connects macroscopic quantum tunnelling to qubit operation, reviews the superconducting quantum‑computing technology stack, and highlights how facilities such as the James Watt Nanofabrication Centre bridge fundamental physics and manufacturable, large‑scale quantum processors.
