Granodine 111
An acidic, liquid chemical which, when diluted in near-boiling water, gives a heavy manganese-iron phosphate coating on iron and steel. Used by dip, it is an accelerated process giving a coating with very high corrosion resistance and also lubricant retention for components subject to wear.
It is approved to DEF STAN 03-11/3 as a Class I accelerated process and previously to DTD 900/4391; it also conforms to BS 3189 (1973) type IA heavyweight. It also meets B.Ae Airbus ABP 1-5056.
